About the Developer: Ben Blue, Founder/Principal, SHG LLC
Ben Blue is the Principal and Founder of Silverton Hospitality Group LLC, leading the development of a boutique hotel in the heart of Silverton, Colorado. With over 20 years of international experience spanning real estate, luxury hospitality operations, and food & beverage ventures, Ben brings a global perspective to mountain-town projects. His career includes roles in ultra-luxury hotel management, Michelin-starred restaurant openings, and successful consumer product launches featured in Forbes and Condé Nast Traveller.
A serendipitous visit to Silverton in 2022 inspired Ben to make the town his full-time home and embark on a project that honors Silverton’s mining heritage while supporting its future. Drawing on his operational expertise and commitment to design-forward, sustainable development, Ben has assembled a world-class team of architects, engineers, and designers from the United States, Chile, and Spain. Together, they are creating a hotel that balances international design standards with Silverton’s unique character and community needs.
Ben’s approach is rooted in thoughtful hospitality, innovative design, and a vision for sustainable growth—aiming to create spaces that serve both visitors and locals. As a resident of Silverton, he is deeply engaged with the community, ensuring the project reflects local values and aspirations.
